About Casino Warnings: UK Casinos Against the Record

Rachel DoughtyRachel Doughty Updated

Most casino sites cover the positives of casinos, but we cover the negatives. We show what regulatory authorities have recorded. We connect UK casinos to their licensing companies. We show the actions the Gambling Commission has taken against those companies, and we cover the legal agreements.

  • 10UK-licensed casinos reviewed
  • 75Commission fines and settlements tracked since March 2021
  • 7rankings, each for one thing players care about
  • 16guides to licences, complaints and payouts

Why Casino Warnings exists

The Gambling Commission does disclose a lot of information. We find the information relevant to players. Many brands do not operate under the same name as the company that holds their gambling licenses. Announcements about fines are usually made under the company and not the brand.

Because of this, a player can fail to identify relevant information. One example is a company’s £2 million settlement. We connect this information to players. Every review on our site connects the company and its action. We also give a link to the Gambling Commission where the information is publicly disclosed.

We also cover what players can expect when they make a withdrawal. We talk about charges and bonus rules. We explain what players should do if they do not receive their winnings. Fines are the central part of our coverage.

Who runs Casino Warnings

We are an independent publisher based in Bristol, U.K. We are not owned by or endorsed by any casino. We do not take bets or operate casinos. All of the information on our site is published to educate and protect players.

Only casinos authorized by the Gambling Commission to provide services to residents of Great Britain are listed. We cross check all casinos against the Commission’s register prior to listing and review that information when a page is edited.

How Casino Warnings is paid for

You will find some links to casinos on this site that use an affiliate program. If you open a casino account using our affiliate link, the casino may give us a commission. This costs you nothing and helps us to pay the expenses for running this site.

Commission will never alter a casino’s record or terms. A casino with a fine on their license will be shown with that fine, even if the casino or the licensee has paid us. For full information on this, see our affiliate disclosure.

What Casino Warnings will not publish

There are four rules which always apply to this site.

  • No unlicensed casinos

You will not find information about casinos on this site which are not authorized by the Gambling Commission, casinos which are not on Gamstop, or ‘no ID/no verification’ casinos. For further information, see our online casino scams page.

  • No figures without a source

Information provided on this site is from named sources including the Commission or the Casinos. When we evaluate a casino’s policies, we may include a screenshot of the policy.

  • No invented trust

We will not create false information including player counts and ratings. We will not provide fake reviews or false information on casino games or other services provided by Casinos.

  • Nothing for under-18s

Gambling should only be undertaken by persons over the age of 18. For assistance with gambling, see our responsible gambling page.
