Affiliate Disclosure: What We Earn and What It Changes

Rachel DoughtyRachel Doughty Updated

Casino Warnings is free to read because some casinos pay us when a reader opens an account through our links. This page explains how that works, how to spot those links, and what the money is never allowed to change.

How Casino Warnings earns money

We often take part in affiliate marketing programs for casinos and marketing management companies. Upon using one of our links to visit a casino, and if you register for an account, we may receive a commission from the casino. Depending on the agreement with the casino, the commission may be a fixed amount or a percentage of the casino’s revenue, for example, from the player’s casino games.

You will not be charged any fee because of the commission we may receive. The commission is completely independent from the offers and promotions you may see when visiting the casino. We do not receive any payments from casinos to write reviews or to post scores and rankings. We also do not sell any advertisements.

How to recognise an affiliate link

  • "Visit" buttons

Links that say “Visit [Casino Name]” or that are preceded by a green “Visit” button are affiliate links.

  • The /go/ address

Although each of these links appears to go directly to the casino, they actually go through our web server. The links contain the casino's trackable code and then redirect you to the casino. The casino may use cookies to collect some information from you when you visit their site. Our policy on cookies explains more.

  • Marked for search engines

    "Sponsored" links are paid links.

  • Other links are not

The links to the Gambling Commission, to dispute services, to help charities, and to the casino terms are not affiliate links. We get no commission for any user clicks or purchases.

What affiliate commission never changes

Here are three rules.

The record
Every fine, settlement and warning against a casino's licence holder is shown in full. No deal removes one.
Scores and rankings
Scores follow the method on how we review, and rankings follow the published figures for their topic. Commission is not part of either.
Who we cover
Only casinos licensed by the Gambling Commission. We do not take deals from sites outside it.

Before you open an account through our links

Take the time to read the important details for each offer and review the casino's terms and conditions. We review the terms and conditions regularly and you should set a deposit limit. Our guide will help you do this.

The minimum age to use this site is 18. If at any time you feel that you are no longer in control of your gambling, you can find free help on our responsible gambling page. The National Gambling Helpline can be reached at 0808 8020 133.
